KEA has four diesel fueled power generation stations, the Kodiak Plant, Nyman, Swampy Acres and Port Lions.  Nyman has a combined cycle combustion turbine and the rest of our diesel generation is driven by large diesel engines. 

Our goal is to utilize as little diesel as possible, but it is an important part of our system as it provides for quick response power and reliable back up to insure greater system reliability to our membership.
