Ways to report an outage:
KEA's Member Services Representatives utilize a system known as Outage Management Software (OMS) for monitoring and maintaining the status of outages. Most outages will automatically send a notification to our office. In any case, it is always a good idea to reach out to ensure the outage was reported. With you being a member of our cooperative, we take pride in ensuring that reporting an outage is a very convenient process.
You can call us at (907) 486-7700, Option 2, to report an outage. Please ensure you have your account number with you. Alternatively, if you use our SmartHub app, you can click on More > Contact Us > Report Power Outage. Finally, you can stop at our office at 1614 Mill Bay Road and report the outage in person. Any pertinent details you can provide could be very beneficial to our linemen and may greatly decrease the length of an outage.
You can view any currently reported outages using our outage map on our website. Communicating with the neighbors in your area to see if the issue is congruent with their services as well not only strengthens communication in our community but also helps us understand the scope of the outage when paired with our OMS system.
We always look forward to seeing and hearing from our members, so it is also a fair opportunity to verify any necessary details on your account, such as automatic payments, mailing addresses, contact information, or to simply touch base with the staff. If you need any other assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you for being a part of our cooperative and assisting in keeping Kodiak shining bright!
